Network Tools for the iPhone and Mac

Setup Apple AirPort (new 802.11n)

Launch Apple’s “AirPort Utility” and login to the base station. Select “Internet”, then “Internet Connection”. If “Connection Sharing” does not say “Share a public IP address”, no further setup is required.

Select “Advanced” tab, then “Port Mapping” and click the “+” button. Type the RemoteApp port number (default is 5902) as both the public and private TCP ports. Use the remote Mac’s IP address as “Private IP Address”. Click “Continue”.

Add “RemoteTab” as a description, then click “Done”.

The window should look like this. Click “Update” to restart with the new setup.
